Pre-Check Test

Many users want to know whether a vehicle will pass a CTC inspection prior to submitting to CARB. This provides more time than the 30-day requirement to repair a vehicle if the vehicle would fail a CTC submission. DAWN OBD Pre-Check™ is a separate app that works with our Mini Streamer. HEM Data’s server anticipates how CARB will analyze CTC data.

The Pre-Check app generates a report immediately after submitting the test. The report includes key CTC information including any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), the number of warm-ups, miles, hours driven since codes have been cleared, and the status of each monitor. If the vehicle fails, the report states why.
